Why is this so important to today’s business environment?

Simply put – cultural clashes are the number one reason why international businesses return to doing business within their own borders or find it very difficult to penetrate their target market outside of their homeland. We can assist your team with firsthand information that can help them avoid these culture clashes in the new environment in which they are doing business in.

Based on your individual needs we select one of our culture experts that knows and understands the people you and your company do business with, whether it is faced to face, virtually, or by some other means.

We use a three-phase approach to intercultural awareness and understanding.

Phase 1 – Consists of meeting and greeting someone outside of your business contacts, but of the same cultural background. During this phase, you have the chance to ask all those uncomfortable questions that you may have but are hesitant to speak about with your business partners.

Phase 2  - Review the do’s and don’ts of informal and formal encounters, with the main focus on the business don’ts, but of course the do’s are not far behind. The key tool in this phase is role-playing sessions, between your team and the trainer.

Phase 3 – It will round the training into an intercultural ball of knowledge and confidence, by review, review, and review of Phase 1 and Phase 2, these will be spiced up a bit with basic phrases in the target language for breaking the ice, with your business partners. Of course, as in each phase, you will have a Q + A  session to express your concerns and fears.

The aim of this training is to assist your company to build a team of interculturally competent employees that are aware of how vital it is to understand the culture of the people your company does business with, thus bridging the culture-gap and establishing a mutual understanding and respect among all involved.
